Supporting local businesses and restaurants is more important than ever due to all the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. Everything But The House, a local estate liquidator in Blue Ash that auctions off everything from antiques to home goods, is offering a creative solution. On Wednesday, April 29, the local retailer will launch a four-day auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and packages from 21 local businesses, including A Tavola, 21c Museum Hotel, HomeMaker’s Bar, Benefit Salon, and even the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

The best part? All proceeds from the auction, which closes Sunday, May 3, will go directly back to the 21 participating businesses. So, if you win an experience from popular Over-the-Rhine cheese shop The Rhined, the final total for that specific auction will go straight to them.

“We are especially proud to partner with several of the Queen City’s small businesses to shine a spotlight on what they do best while connecting EBTH customers with an uncommon experience not typically accessible to the public” says Brian Graves, co-founder of EBTH, in a press release.

Like all auctions on EBTH, the biddings start at $1. Experiences include a chef-prepared dinner for you and 11 of friends and/or family members courtesy of Abigail Street. The dinner includes an entire roast lamb, plus sides like salad, hummus, zhug, and bread, and even wine, baklava, and Arak (a Levatine unsweetened distilled spirit).

Win a package from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and enjoy an educational conversation with Zoo Director Thane Maynard, who will answer any questions you have about wildlife, the zoo’s day-today operations, and what it’s like running the best zoo in the nation.

Another experience up for grabs is a virtual personal shopping experience at Idlewild Woman Boutique. You and seven of your friends will join Tessa Clark, manager and TV personality  from Project Runway’s 17th season, who will discuss styling tips and serve as your personal shopper. You’ll also win a $150 gift card and all party guests will receive 20 percent off purchases.

“We couldn’t think of a better gesture to help show our love for our fellow entrepreneurs, doing our small part to support them as they’ve supported us by making our city the place we call home,” Graves says.

The auction starts when the sale list goes live at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, and closes on Sunday, May 3. Visit this link to bid on the items and packages during the four-day auction.
