Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati actor Deondra Kamau Means will perform Martin’s Dream, a one-man show that explores the real person behind the historic figure. Blue Ash Branch Library

After listening to stories celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., children between the ages of 5 and 11 can decorate a cupcake and paint their own dreams. Registration is required, and you can do so here. January 19, 4 p.m., Cheviot Branch Library, 3711 Robb Ave.
North Central Branch Library
A reading of Martin’s Big Words will be followed by a balloon launch of children’s own dreams. No registration required. January 19, 2 p.m., North Central Branch Library, 11109 Hamilton Ave.
