Esquire Rewind: Moonlight (2016)
The Esquire Theatre is putting the Best Picture-winning film back on its screens for Pride. The movie directed by Barry Jenkins follows Chiron through three chapters of his life as a black gay man growing up in Miami. Moonlight will be screened through June 5. Esquire Rewind: I Saw the TV Glow (2024)
I Saw the TV Glow, last year’s deeply moving and genre-defying allegory for the trans experience (also this writer’s favorite movie of 2024), will be back on screen at the Esquire to celebrate Pride. Jane Schoenbrun’s masterpiece follows Owen and Maddy whose obsession with a mysterious TV show begins to break their realities. Screenings will take place through June 5. Signs & Spouses: A Vow Renewal Ceremony
To celebrate the 10th anniversary marriage equality, the Sign Museum is throwing a party and vow renewal ceremony. Inspired by the ASM exhibit Glow & Behold: Cincinnati’s Historic LGBTQ+ Bar Signs, the festivities include music from DJ Boywife and MUSE, dancing, a champagne toast, appetizers and desserts, a cash bar, local celebrity appearences and performances, and a vow renewal ceremony officiated by Jim Obergefell. Rhinegeist Rooftop Brunch: Pride Edition

Northern Kentucky is kicking off Cincinnati’s Pride Month celebrations with a parade and festival in Covington. The parade will take off at noon from Sixth St. and Madison, head down W. Pike St., then head down Main to end at Mainstrasse. The festival will be in Goebel Park from noon to 5 p.m. and will feature entertainers, vendors, food, and more. Noon-5 p.m., Covington
Bring your furry friend to this dog-friendly Pride party and drag show. Manukah Honey-Stix Chimera, Nicky, and Johnny Justice will be performing for humans and canines alike. There will also be professional pet glamour shots, a rescue dog fashion show, and vendors. Woodward Cinema Presents: Paris is Burning (1990)
This documentary following drag queens, balls, and the house system in late ’80s New York is arguably one of the most iconic and influential pieces of queer film ever made—and the Woodward Theater will be specially screening it for Pride Month. Friends of Music Hall are hosting a special Pride-edition of their outdoor Music Hall Tour. After the tour, there’ll be a private social hour at the Symphony Hotel’s Rooftop Bar. Pride Walk: Queer Paths Through Cincinnati
Queen City Queer History is teaming up with the Cincinnati Preservation Young Preservationists for a historical walking tour of downtown’s lost queer bars and other LGBTQ sites. Registration is free for Cincinnati Preservation members and five dollars for non-members. The walk will be around one mile long. 6 p.m., Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine
Bring your friends, pets, partners, and queer chosen family to this outdoor portrait session at Washington Park. Photographer Caitlin Chrisenée will spend 5-10 minutes with each group on a first-come, first-serve basis. CSO Pride Block Party with Sapphira Cristál
For the third annual Pride Block Party, the CSO will play all kinds of music—overtures, arias, even works by LGBT icons like Britney and ABBA. For the fifth annual Pride celebration in Hamilton, festivities will kick off with a rally and march at 11 a.m. in Rotary Park. Marchers will then make their way to Marcum Park for a full-day celebration with a killer drag lineup (including Drag Race alum Mystique Summers), live music, food, vendors, and local LGBTQ organizations. 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Marcum Park, 116 Dayton St., Hamilton
Main Street will turn into one big block party with artisan vendors, performances by local drag queens and kings, music from DJ Boywife, food trucks, and more. Plus, several restaurants and stores will have Pride specials and events like Aura Portraits at Launch Party. Out in the Outdoors: The T on Tea
In this Pride Month edition of the Great Parks of Hamilton County’s LGBTQ+ community events series, attendees will be brewing tea in all colors of the rainbow. Tea will be made using native plants, some of which will be found during a hike on the Sharon Woods School Trail. Pride Kickoff Party by Midwestern Lesbian
After the OTR Street Festival, head to the after party at PiNS hosted by Midwestern Lesbian. There will be free bowling, music, food and drink specials, a ping-pong tournament, and more. This year’s annual QBoC Pride Bird Walk will take place at Gilmore Ponds MetroPark. Bring your binoculars and check out some of the unique wetland bird species that live at this park. Cincinnati’s biggest drag brunch is back for the fifth year to raise money for Queen City Charities. Cincinnati Pride Flash Tattoo Party
Some of the city’s best tattoo artists are coming together for a Pride themed flash tattoo party. All tattoos will be LGBTQ+ themed flash pieces priced at $200 or less. It’ll be first-come, first-serve with all funds going directly to the artists. All clients must be at least 18 with valid ID. For Pride Month, Cindependent Film Festival will be screening 2019 Queer Palm winner Portrait of a Lady on Fire. This intimate romantic drama by Celine Sciamma follows a painter who falls in love with her subject—a woman who is about to be married. The film will be preceded by a screening of the short film Sister Wives, a sapphic romance about women living in a fundamentalist Mormon society. June’s Art After Dark event will combine Pride with the museum’s latest exhibition, Farm to Table: Food and Identity in the Age of Impressionism. CincyVogue is taking over the Taft Museum of Art. The party will start at 1 p.m. with some music and dancing. At 3 p.m. the ball begins with competitors fighting it out for the 26 trophies and 16 cash prizes. Categories will be open to everyone and they’ll all have an art-themed twist.
