Crown Republic Gastropub owners, husband-and-wife duo Anthony Sitek (chef) and Haley Nutter-Sitek (general manager), have announced they will expand their reach to Over-the-Rhine with a boutique steakhouse concept in the former Anchor OTR location at the northeast corner of Washington Park, at 1401 Race St., set to debut in October.

The to-be-named restaurant will feature steaks by the ounce, plus seafood, frites, and a few staples from their first restaurant, such as handmade pasta. Sitek says they are aiming to provide an accessible perspective on white tablecloth dining.

“We want to reimagine the steakhouse concept of yesterday for today,” Sitek says. “We want to create something approachable, more intimate, and community driven with a chef-lead culinary focus.”

The owners are in the process of refreshing the 2,400-square-foot space, which will feature an eight-top semiprivate dining table, a bar, banquet seating, and a patio looking onto Washington Park and Music Hall.

Crown Republic Gastropub opened downtown last summer at 720 Sycamore St.
