Storefront: Rose & Remington’s Hyde Park Outpost

When Rose & Remington’s cozy Lebanon store opened in November 2013, it quickly became a source for women looking for Anthropologie-inspired styles at an affordable price. The new Hyde Park location seems huge by comparison—nestled in a corner next to Hyde Park Kroger, the high ceilings and dark walls give the shop a trendy industrial vibe.

As for the merchandise, the boutique houses a seemingly endless selection of heritage-inspired clothing, accessories, and home goods. Earthy plaid shirts and chambray dresses hold court next to rustic-chic tables filled with beaded bracelets and brushed metal pendant necklaces. Chunky knit scarves hang next to coffee mugs decorated with quirky inspirational quotes, and local line Be Ohio Proud is prominently displayed at the front of the shop for anyone interested in repping the Buckeye State. A quick stop by the cash register revealed a tempting selection of trinkets, everything from humorous birthday cards to flavored lip balm.

Setting up shop in yoga mom-friendly Hyde Park was a smart move, and it will be fun to see what else Rose & Remington has up its brushed plaid sleeve.
