You love your historic home, but not the drafty windows—or you want to buy a historic home, but the banker just laughed when you said “rehab budget.” In any case, the NKY Restoration Weekend can help. “We will have similar classes for the DIYer that we’ve had in the past—from the roof down to the foundation and anything in between,” says event organizer Beth Johnson. The roughly 20-class lineup for the March 21 event isn’t final yet, but anticipate topics like financing and insuring a rehab, greening your historic home, restoring windows, refinishing wood, and more—plus a vendors’ fair.
