There comes a time every year, usually around late September/early October, when people start to experience what I call “frock fatigue.” By the end of wedding season, all of the dresses from the 327 weddings you’ve attended between May and September start to blur together into one indistinguishable mass of cream colored froth.
Elaya Vaughn Bridal designer Kate Pankoke (a Project Runway All-Star, if you recall) is here to change that. Her collection of modern wedding gowns strikes just the right balance between unique and traditional, infused with an ethereal quality reminiscent of Madonna in her pre-Raphaelite Ray of Light phase.
While the line is about luxury, Pankoke caters to brides who want a couture experience without having to pay couture prices. She’ll be in Cincinnati hosting a trunk show at European Bridal this weekend, with gowns and accessories from her 2015 collection in tow. Here’s a peek:
