Why: Bedazzling is the next generation of the DIY movement, replacing the muted (and overdone) textures of burlap and lace with vibrant and energetic bursts of sparkle. Plus, it’s an easy way to make your wedding accessories truly one-of-a-kind.

What: You can bedazzle almost anything. For accessories, we suggest the heels of your bridal shoes, a dainty clutch, a veil, a signature hairpiece, a belt, your nails, or the stem of your bouquet. For decor, try adding a little bling to centerpieces, place cards, and invitations.

How: Most projects can be accomplished with high-quality fabric glue, a pair of tweezers, and the rhinestones of your choice from your local craft store. For fabrics that are firmer or may need to go through a washing machine, kits that can secure studded rhinestones are relatively inexpensive and user-friendly.
