Key Instruments: The couple’s choice of music was anything but traditional. The guests were ushered in, one by one, led by a bagpiper to incorporate both the bride’s and groom’s Scottish roots. A guitar, fiddle, and mandolin were also played during the ceremony. Keeping It Close: It was evident that the couple wanted to add special touches with the help of friends and family. A family friend provided handmade soaps and lotions as an addition to the gift bags. Also, a friend of the bride’s father is a bluegrass musician who performed that day, making a subtle mention of the bride’s bluegrass upbringing.
