Marielle and Nick have spent many Sundays in Nick’s parents’ backyard, which made it the perfect spot for the couple to exchange their vows on July 3, 2021. Nick’s whole family worked to create an intimate and romantic setting for the approximately 30 family members who attended. The couple’s dog, boxer-shepherd mix Beemer, waited with Nick as Marielle walked down the aisle.

The bride’s father passed away 10 years ago, but she saved one of his blue shirts and had a heart-shaped piece of it sewn into her dress as a way to recognize him on this special day. Marielle’s sister had the same idea: She worked with Katie Smith of Katie’s Blooms to turn a monogrammed shirt cuff into a bouquet holder, just one of the day’s sweet surprises.

Another arrived after the wedding dinner. Nick, who works in hospitality, arranged for some of the couple’s dear friends to join the celebration as a gift to Marielle. He even made sure everyone had great late-night snacks, delivering Skyline, White Castle, and LaRosa’s.
