Marty Brennaman’s Reds Hall of Fame Induction and Legends Game

The largest gathering of Reds alumni ever will be at Great American Ball Park Friday to welcome legendary broadcaster Marty Brennaman to the Reds Hall of Fame. After his induction ceremony, Hall of Famers and former players take the field for the Reds Hall of Fame Legends Game, followed by a Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks show to cap off a night celebrating the best of Cincinnati baseball. Reserved tickets also include a ticket for the Reds–Pirates game on September 20, a voucher to visit the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, and a commemorative scorecard for Friday’s Legends Game. Hamilpalooza

This free, family-friendly event in Hamilton hosts vendors offering unique gifts and home decor and features local clubs, nonprofits, businesses, service organizations, restaurants, and caterers. Grab a bite from a food truck (Sweet Jazz Treats will be there), get down to some live music, and let the kids enjoy a petting farm at this Hamilton event.

Bill Keating Jr. Great Ohio River Swim

Whether you’re a born swimmer or just looking to check an Ohio River dip off your bucket list, this Sunday is your perfect opportunity for a river plunge. At little more than half a mile, the Great Ohio River Swim is the largest open water swim across the mighty Ohio and back. This tradition (since 2007!) also supports the nonprofit Adventure Crew and its Swim Training Program, which provides urban youth access to swim lessons, water safety instruction, and lifeguard certification. Don’t forget to bring your cap and goggles.

Cincinnati Guitar Show

The Midwest’s premier guitar show returns to Sharonville Sunday, featuring local dealers, rare guitars, beautiful works of art, and great deals for those who are just starting to pick up the six-string. You can also find new and used basses, amps, drums, and everything you need to get the band together. Rock on!

Big Biergarten Experience

The second weekend of the Big Biergarten Experience kicks off Friday, featuring the largest selection of German bier in Cincinnati. Food, merchandise, music, and games abound at this “warmup” for the Germania Society’s Oktoberfest (which will return in 2022).
