Makers Bakers Co. collabs with Sam Adams for Bockfest, Japanese convenience store opens on Court Street Plaza, The Gatherall adds three tenants, and more.

A Sweet Beer Collab for Bockfest
Findlay Market favorite Makers Bakers Co. has a special beer collaboration with Sam Adams for Bockfest. Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Bock, brewed with Makers Bakers’ cinnamon rolls, will be released at the beginning of next month. The release party takes place on Friday, March 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sam Adams taproom in Over-the-Rhine.

Norwood Food Hall Adds New Tenants
The Gatherall—the food hall arm of Norwood’s $100 million mixed-use development Factory 52—recently added three new tenants: bakery Molly’s Cupcakes (former winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars), Cincinnati Magazine favorite Trophy Pizza, and Indian street food slinger Tikka Xpress. The 10,000-square-foot hall opened last summer and already has more than a dozen food stalls, including Decibel Kitchen, Melt Revival, and Gabriela Filipina Kantina.

Japanese Convenience Store Opens on Court Street
Daruma, the konbini (Japanese convenience store) from Kiki owner Hideki Harada, opened last week on Court Street Plaza. The store—which stocks a variety of items like Japanese sauces and condiments as well as snacks and candy—offers ready-made meal options and outdoor patio seating.

The Davidson Opens at The Foundry
The Thunderdome Group’s latest offering, The Davidson, recently opened in the former Royce space on Vine Street at The Foundry. The “American Brasserie”—which features a blend of French and Italian influences, including carpaccio, brick pressed chicken “au vin,” veal Milanese, and bone-in pork chop—is named after the iconic Tyler Davidson Fountain.

Taco Chain Opens First Cincinnati Area Location
Torchy’s Tacos, known for its cook-to-order tacos, opened its first Greater Cincinnati location today in Liberty Township. The Austin, Texas–based taco chain currently has more than 120 locations across 14 states.

Sushi Chain Opens 13th Ohio Location
Sushi chain FUSIAN opened its 13th store on Beechmont Avenue in Anderson Township this week. On Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25, the location will offer a free appetizer with any purchase, and all proceeds from [re]Fresh drink orders will benefit The Sam Hubbard Foundation, Hubbard’s Cupboards program supporting healthy meals in schools.
