Moerlein Lager House Changes Its Name
Earlier this month, Moerlein Lager House announced a name change. The riverfront brewery and restaurant is now known as Cincinnati Lager House. The new name reflects a broader celebration of Cincinnati’s brewing traditions, past and present. “This evolution allows us to celebrate not just one chapter of Cincinnati’s brewing history, but the entire story—from the early 1800s when Cincinnati became known as the Beer Capital of the World, to today’s vibrant craft brewing community,” said Greg Hardman, managing member of Cincinnati Lager House, in a press release.

Home Court Tavern Reopens in Old Allyn’s Space
The owners of the recently shuttered East End restaurant Home Court Tavern (previously known as Sinners & Saints) say they’re moving ahead with plans to move into Allyn’s Café, which closed last October. Home Court closed last month to move to the spot at 3538 Columbia Parkway, which is scheduled to open in May or June. “A brand new and very similar version of us will reappear a few months from now in the old Allyn’s Cafe spot,” said in a post on the bar’s Facebook page. “A complete redo. It is gonna be awesome. We cannot wait.”
