Shake Shack Opens First Tri-State Location
Fast food favorite Shake Shake opened its Greater Cincinnati first location in Liberty Township last Thursday, December 7. The new restaurant, known for its milkshakes, hamburgers, and signature Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, is located at 7669 Blake Street, near the high-profile Liberty Center development.

Catch-a-Fire Pizza to Open Location on West Side
While Catch-a-Fire plans to close its operations inside of MadTree Brewing in Oakley on January 1, the local pizzeria will soon open a new spot inside of Westside Brewing taproom in Westwood. “We have been wanting to be a part of the Westwood and west side community for a long time since our food truck days,” Jeff Ledford, Catch-a-Fire’s co-owner, says. “We couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces with West Side Brewing.” Look for the new location early next year.

Food Fight 513 2024 Dates Announced
Chefs Kayla Robison and Christian Gill recently announced that there will be two Food Fight 513 battles in 2024. Tickets for the winter event, takes place January 24 at the Tunnel Club at TQL Stadium, go on sale on January 1. Food Fight 513—which is essentially the local version of the Food Network reality TV show Chopped—pits groups of participants against one another in three rounds of competition. Six Cincinnati Restaurants on OpenTable’s Annual Top 100 List
This week, six local eateries —Boca, Carlo & Johnny, Jeff Ruby’s, Nolia, Pepp & Dolores, and Sotto—made OpenTable’s 2023 Top 100 Restaurants list. The online restaurant reservation platform used 12 million verified reviews and dining metrics, such as diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance, and five-star reviews, to compile the listings.

Dewey’s Pizza Launches Yukon Cornelius Pizza 
This week, Dewey’s Pizza announced the launch of the Yukon Cornelius. The seasonal pie, named after the beloved Christmas movie character from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, is made with olive oil, minced garlic, mozzarella, white cheddar, seasoned Yukon Gold potatoes, red onion, bacon, green onions, and lemon-chive sour cream, and is available through January 8.

Taste of Belgium Opens New Bistro 
After a nearly two year hiatus in the area due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Belgian-inspired favorite Taste of Belgium has opened its newest location at 165 W. McMillan and Clifton Avenue at The Verge near the University of Cincinnati campus. The University Heights bistro, which welcomed its first customers on December 13, features a full-service bar and seats 112 people. To celebrate the opening, the restaurant has three limited-time-only items: Chorizo Mussels sauteed in white wine, garlic, onion, tomatoes, with local chorizo, cilantro and lime; the “Not a Burrito” featuring local chorizo, breakfast potatoes and eggs wrapped in a sweet crêpe accented with jalapeno crema and pico de gallo; and the Taste of Belgium IPA developed in collaboration with Musketeers Brewery in Belgium.
