Cincinnati Weekend Picks March 13-15

Now that the sun is out longer, there are even more opportunities to leave the house and have fun this weekend. You could even spend every minute celebrating St. Patrick’s Day if you really wanted, but here are a few options for those who seek some more variety.


Cavalcade of Customs

It’s the 65th Annual Cavalcade of Customs with even more tricked-out cars, trucks, and motorcycles to check out. In addition to the competing new builds, you can see the Jeep from Jurassic World, cars and actors from Dukes of Hazzard, historic race cars, WWE Hall-of-Famer Kevin Nash, and MegaMorph—the transforming robot car. Celebration for Olympian Connor Curran

Fresh off winning Gold at the Winter Olympics, freestyle skiier Connor Curran is sharing the victory with his hometown of Sharonville. In addition to getting to meet Curran, attendees can enjoy light bites, inflatables, face painting, and giveaways. Tickets are free but they must be obtained online before the event. Fish Me, I’m Irish Charity Show

A special St. Patrick’s Day rave at Fish Bowl Live is raising money for the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio with a craft vendor market and a killer lineup of Cincy DJs featuring DJ Boywife, Ethoxx, DJ Dale, Twkrbtch, Pure Apathi, Coolkatderek, and Auxstar. American Mosaic with Martin Sheen

Emmy-winning actor and Ohio native Martin Sheen will be joining the Pops to narrate American Mosaic, a musical and visual tribute to the country’s land, cities, people, and spirit for the 250th anniversary. Cincinnati St. Patrick’s Parade

The annual St. Patrick’s Day weekend tradition returns with Honorary Grand Marshal Tony Pike. For the 58th year, community members will parade through downtown wearing green alongside the “stolen” Saint Patrick statue from Immaculata Church. The parade steps off at 11:45 a.m. and snakes along Mehring Way, turns around through the Banks, and ends near Paycor Stadium. Sat, Mar 14, noon, Mehring Way, downtown

Pi Day

Urban Artifact is celebrating dessert and geometry at this Pi Day party with the highly anticipated return of the brewers pie eating contest—representatives from the city’s craft breweries (like returning second-place champion Nick Lambert from Big Ash) will be diving head-first into a chance at victory. Mutt Madness

Washington Park’s annual March Madness dog adoption is back with plenty of adorable pups looking for forever homes. The Roast of Northside

Favorites of the Northside community and stand-up scene are coming together to roast and toast each other and the neighborhood they love to raise money for NEST. Roasters Darren and Charlotte Blase, Molly Stephens, Gavin Ferckel, Cody Walker, Laila Ammar, Caleb Nash, Jeni Jenkins, Alex Schubert, Breezy Lee, and Megan Hague will perform alongside split-the-pot and food and drink specials all benefitting NEST. Cincinnati Guitar Show

The city’s only guitar show returns to the Sharonville Convention Center with over 7500 square feet of new and used guitars, basses, collectables, amps, vintage instruments, and more. Chelsea Handler Live
