“Skyline or Gold Star” is almost as Cincinnati a question as “where did you go to high school,” but on July 28, you can celebrate National Chili Dog Day at two chili chains and a few other locations, too. Read below to see how these local parlors are enticing customers for the chili lover’s Christmas in July.
Free Coneys at Gold Star Chili
Gold Star is offering the biggest deal on Thursday: a free cheese coney with the purchase of any regular drink. If you’re not feeling a frankfurter, they’ve got chili cheese fries, garlic parmesan fries, and bacon cheddar ranch fries for an alternate way to enjoy the day.
Do you love cheese coneys? Then you'll love them even more when they're FREE. Join us on #NationalChiliDogDay, 7/28, and enjoy a free coney with the purchase of a regular size Pepsi® product. #FollowYourOwnRecipe pic.twitter.com/3aPxcyPwXq

National Chili Dog Day at Taft’s Brewporium
In honor of the holiday, Taft’s is bringing back their Chili Cheese Pizza and Chili Cheese Tots for one day only, made with Gold Star Chili (sorry, Skyline diehards.) It’s also trivia night over at the Brewporium, so you really can’t go wrong either way. Just be wary of any police officers handing out free trivia clues on your way in.
