Living along the Ohio River is never a bad choice, regardless of which side you choose. Areas like Riverside Drive, which stretches through Mt. Adams, Columbia Tusculum, and Pendleton, is home to some of Cincinnati’s most sought after real estate. Among its impressive selection of ritzy condos and brand new houses sits this newly constructed 4,400-square-foot beauty in an East End gated community called Rivers Edge.

From white oak hardwood floors throughout to three covered balconies, plus a rooftop patio, this four-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath home is luxury living at its best. Step through its double wood doors to the first level, where you’ll find three full baths and three bedrooms, one of which features double sliding glass doors that walk-out to the first covered balcony with a ceiling fan. The master suite features a similar walk-out on the second level, plus a tray ceiling and an adjoining bath with a spa-like freestanding tub and spacious walk-in shower. Of course, there’s a massive walk-in closet with built-in shelving, too. The second level also features a study and one of the home’s two laundry rooms.

Our favorite space has to be the third floor, though, thanks to the open-concept gourmet kitchen and living room. Equipped with stainless steel appliances, tons of granite countertop space, a wet bar with a wine fridge, an eat-in island, and a dreamy oven range, this kitchen was designed for the ultimate home cook. Plus, a butler’s pantry offers additional refrigeration and storage space and also acts as an extra prep area and second laundry room. The luxury features continue in the living room, with an oversized industrial-looking fan, a remote-controlled built-in fireplace, and, of course, another set of double sliding glass doors that walk-out to the third covered (and heated!) balcony.

Other standout features on the third level include an intimate dining area with a fancy chandelier behind the kitchen and a chic spiral staircase between the kitchen and living room. If the spiral staircase isn’t your thing, there’s a second staircase and an elevator that’s accessible from every floor. Take the elevator or spiral staircase to the fourth level, which features a small sitting area with a large window and glass door that leads to the open-air rooftop patio. With plenty of room for a grill and outdoor furniture, the patio lets you soak up the sun and watch the river activity all year long.

In addition to all of its beauty and unobstructed Ohio River views, the home is LEED Platinum. Eco-friendly details include a garage wired for an electric car charging station, solar panels, and a reclaimed water collector. All said, you can have your cake and eat it, too.
