St. Patrick’s Day is almost here, and the parties start this weekend. Here are five local destinations where you can drink up, have fun, and celebrate the Irish tradition.

  1. Cincinnati St. Patrick’s Parade

Celebrating its 53rd year, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a Cincinnati tradition that floods streets at The Banks downtown with Irish fun. Leading the charge this year is Grand Marshall Jeff Berding, general manager of FC Cincinnati.

If you’re looking to get mean and green in the heart of downtown, Fountain Square has you covered. The iconic location will host two parties over St. Patrick’s Day weekend complete with musical performances, which include contemporary Celtic band Dulahan and American Irish punk band The Prodigals. Of course, no St. Patrick’s Day is complete without food, green beer, and Guinness; Fountain Square has it all.

Pugalicious Pet Treats will also be on site to provide freeze-dried treats, and there will be a “Pup Chug” at 3:30 p.m. for the first 10 dogs to sign up.
