With five spankin’-new pizza shops to choose from, you’ll never be without a tasty lunch or dinner (or both).
1. Rusconi’s
Winner of Cincinnati Magazine’s very own Slice Night cook off, this new downtown spot pairs arcade games with beer and pizza. No better combination, right? 126 W. Sixth St., downtown, (513) 721-2253, rusconipizza.com
2. Pi Pizzeria
This St. Louis-based restaurant offers a slew of nontraditional pizza choices, including a Cincinnati-inspired pie with Skyline chili, Glier’s goetta, cheddar, and white onions in a deep dish cornmeal crust. The modern glass building matches the sleek architecture at neighboring Nada and the Contemporary Art Center. 199 E. Sixth St., downtown, (513) 721-8900, pi-pizza.com
3. Romeo’s Pizza
Romeo’s is an Ohio-based company, but a newbie to Cincinnati. Their gourmet creations include The Great Ranch and Potato with ranch-bacon sauce, Italian sausage, caramelized onions, red potatoes, and ranch-flavored almonds. 3646 Edwards Rd., Hyde Park, (513) 871-4400, romeospizza.com
4. Pieology
Located in Clifton’s fancy new U-Square, Pieology is served Chipotle-style, with pick-your-own toppings (or you can choose from a menu of their own creations). The best part? It’s cooked in under four minutes. 128 W. McMillan St., Clifton, (513) 221-1300, pieology.com
5. Fireside Pizza
Originally a pizza food truck, Fireside made a permanent home in Walnut Hills at one of the oldest (former) firehouses in Cincinnati. They still make wood-fired pizza, and also offer salads, cocktails, and craft beer. 773 E. McMillan St., Walnut Hills, (513) 751-3473
