September 19 offers everyone the chance to swashbuckle, even if you’re a land lubber the other 364 days of the year. Celebrate the family-friendly International Talk Like a Pirate Day this year at Second Sight Spirits with games, costumes, and of course, rum barrel rollin’. Libations aside, this event is for all ages, and if you’re willing to test your pirate mettle you’ll have a chance to win prizes from Second Sight Spirits and the Northern Kentucky Fencing Academy. Participants will all be ranked, and while I don’t know what a certified Ludlow River Pirate is, I’m sure it beats being a bilge rat.
