4243 Hamilton Avenue, Northside
Boasting a front row seat for Northside’s annual Fourth of July parade, this 119-year-old brick Hamilton Avenue home was rehabbed in 2010 by local contractors, including Jim Bronzie, says listing agent Kate Bridgman. Bronzie, who’s also a judge on FYI Network’s Rowhouse Showdown (a program where contestants compete to renovate Cincinnati row houses for money), reportedly helped save the home from near disaster; today it features all new kitchen and baths, refinished flooring and woodwork, five sets of pocket doors, and a cool third-floor rec room that beats a musty basement any day.
It’s also got a fantastic front porch, multi-colored gingerbread and all—which would be a great place to sit, sipping on a cool drink, as that parade passes by.
