When this Mason home was built nine years ago, “everything was geared toward the views of the lake” beside it, says architect Mark Dierkers of Mark Dierkers Architecture; as a result, the structure has water views from the great room, kitchen, master bedroom, and two back patios, as well.

It also features soaring vaulted ceilings in its public spaces thanks in part to the home’s multiple shed-style rooflines, which “were fairly unique” when this home was built, says Dierkers. Skylights, tray ceilings and natural wood and stone flooring round out the effect, making this a contemporary but peaceful waterside retreat in one of Cincinnati’s busiest suburbs.
