It’s not just an illusion when you’re stuck in traffic after a long day of work: Our commutes are slowly killing us (no joke). So undo all that road-borne stress and enjoy the streets—on your feet.

Now in its second year, Cincy Summer Streets takes over a neighborhood’s main drag for a day of play (kids and adults invited). This season kicks off in Walnut Hills on Saturday, July 18 with East McMillan shutting down from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make room for mini golf, yoga, skateboarding, crosswalk painting, a bike course, jousting, belly dancing, corn hole, and more. Or, you know, for hanging out with neighbors and friends and watching all of the above unfold.

Shops and restaurants in the area will be open, and other local businesses have activities planned too.

The full summer lineup:

  • Walnut Hills: Saturday, July 18, 11 am to 3 pm, E. McMillan St. between Victory and Chatham
  • Northside: Sunday, August 23, 11 am to 3 pm, Hamilton Ave. between Pullan Ave. and Spring Grove Ave.
  • Over-the-Rhine: Saturday, September 26, 11 am to 3 pm, Pleasant St. from Washington Park to Findlay Market (West 14th St. to Glass Alley)

Plus a few more photos from last year, because babies and yoga:
