Cincinnati brides-to-be, you’re in for a treat! Game of Thrones fans will appreciate this inspirational styled shoot put together by Ashley Parker of Mud Goddess Photography in cooperation with locally based vendors.
“This bridal shoot was inspired by the Game of Thrones television show as well as the books that the series draws from,” says Parker. “I wanted the setting to feel cavernous and dark, but lush with flowers and fruit. Old fashioned and a little worn around the edges, but still luxurious and beautiful.”
We love the way the rich, medieval feel of the table setting contrasts the light and airy Sarah Seven dress—which was also featured in the Spring/Summer issue! “[I imagined] a late Summer wedding, with blackberries, purple roses, and soft ivy curling around driftwood…the setting has medieval elements but it possesses a certain mysticism that isn’t matched in medieval lore—an unearthly magic.”
Parker did most of the styling herself, sourcing vintage furniture, having dupioni silk napkins custom made, even perusing Anthropologie for plates! “I wanted the organic softness to pair with the harsher, shadowy warehouse,” says Parker. “I used all Cincinnati vendors, some of them a bit unexpected, because I want to showcase the amazingly creative and talented people we have here!”
