What started off as a snowy Cincinnati evening turned into a successful night of fun for area brides and wedding professionals at the Newport Aquarium. Hosted by Creative Invites and Events, the exclusive pampering party brought together soon-to-be brides and top wedding professionals from the tri-state area. The Newport Aquarium shut down to the public and over two hundred guests were treated to a night of entertainment, hair and makeup trials, and specialty food and drinks.

The team from Everlasting Sounds played emcee, spinning tunes for brides and their guests to enjoy throughout the aquarium. The Cincinnati Circus wowed the crowd with fire dancers, a stilt performance, and dazzling acrobatics. The Newport Aquarium surprised everyone with a special scuba diving routine where divers dressed as a bride and groom swam alongside the fish!

In between vendor shopping and entertainment, brides were treated to catering by Elegant Fare, The Phoenix Catering, and Chef’s Choice, each offering a unique take on delicious wedding cuisine. Patricia’s Cakes and A Spoon Fulla Sugar provided decadent cakes and desserts. Open bars were scattered throughout the venue so that brides and their guests could enjoy cocktails and mimosas as they walked through the aquarium.

The evening closed with a live performance by Soprano Elizabeth F. Gentner (otherwise known as “The Red Diva”), accompanied by dancers from Arthur Murray of West Chester and Cincinnati Circus’ fire dancers. During the performance, brides gathered to hear the announcement of the night’s raffle winners: one lucky bride took home a Bourbon Trail basket, and the grand prize winner received a free bachelorette party for ten at Bella Forza Fitness, as well as a piece of Touchstone Crystal jewelry and a wedding scrapbook. Looks like “swimming with the fishes” has taken on a whole new, luxurious meaning!
