Shaun Alexander’s Senior Year

247

It was at Boone County High School where a young Shaun Alexander first showcased his record-shattering ability. In a senior year that earned him the title of Kentucky’s “Mr. Football” in 1994, Alexander rushed for 3,166 yards and scored a total of 54 touchdowns (50 of them on the ground) in 15 games. Two decades later—after a nine-year NFL career that included the 2005 NFL MVP Award—Alexander’s 50 rushing touchdowns and 326 total points scored still stand as Kentucky high school football single-season records.
