If You’re Into It, “Here Come the Mummies” is Worth The Drive

Here Come the Mummies is an eight-piece funk band based out of Nashville. That is the simple version of a band shrouded in mystery—and a whole lot of smartassery.

Some say Here Come the Mummies is a gang of Grammy-award winning artists that, due to contract disputes, must keep their identities secret. The world may never know.

Here Come the Mummies are favorites on the Bob and Tom show. They have opened for Al Green and Cheap Trick, they frequent large-scale festivals like Summer Camp, Common Ground, and Voodoo Fest, and they even played the Super Bowl Village in 2012.

Whatever their real story may be, the band is worth seeing. Their live shows are characterized by showmanship and fast-paced playing—especially impressive for a bunch of (un)dead guys.
