Calling all tequila lovers! Come and celebrate the rich history of one of the world’s oldest spirits at these vibrant Cincinnati spots on National Tequila Day this Sunday, July 24.

Azul Tequila Room
Azul’s vibrant space transports into a night of good drinks, dancing, and nightlife. From Don Julio Blanco to Epsilon Anejo, this bar offers more than 15 different tequilas on its menu, giving customers a variety of luxury premium tequilas to choose from. 637 Walnut St., downtown, azulcincy.com

La Ofrenda
When visiting La Ofrenda, you’re immersed in owner Jacob Trevino’s tribute to his Mexican heritage. The name is Spanish for “the offering” and this quaint bar embodies that meaning with its colorful altar. Boasting 130 Blue Weber Agave spirits, this place is a treat for the eyes and the taste buds. You can book a private tequila tasting with Trevino, during which you and your party of two to six people will get to sample six agave spirits, the bar’s house-made margarita, and fresh chips and salsa. To mark National Tequila Day, customers get 25 percent off all tequila flights. 30 Findlay St., Over-the-Rhine, laofrendatequila.com

Cantina Agave
This fun, upbeat Mexican-inspired bar is hosting “Tacos and Techno” from 2 pm to 7 p.m. on National Tequila Day. We suggest trying one of the blanco tequila-based margaritas while you listen to the deejays on the patio or the Mora Mora Cocktail, a tequila reposado base with black raspberry liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, triple sec, and orange bitters. 4110 Hamilton Ave., Northside, (513) 832-0041, cantinagavecincy.com

Agave & Rye
This warm and welcoming spot not only will provide you with mouth-watering food, but the lively cocktails are made with freshly squeezed juices and premium spirits. What’s unique about Agave & Rye is its vigilance in making sure customers have a good time. Having a wide variety of tequila on hand will do that. 3825 Edwards Rd., Hyde Park, (513) 620-8228, agaveandrye.com

Bakersfield
What goes better with tequila than tacos? The answer is nothing. Bakersfield offers Mexican street fare with more than 100 tequilas (including Don Julio 1942 and Clase Azul Reposado) and American whiskeys. The fun doesn’t have to end on National Tequila Day—stop by on Tuesdays for $3 tacos and $10 tequila. 1213 Vine St. Over-the-Rhine, (513) 579-0446, bakersfieldtacos.com

Nada
From the murals to the Instagrammable bathrooms, Nada is an artful experience, but the four tequila-based margaritas will leave you saying, “pour me another one.” We recommend the pink grapefruit margarita with a Blanco tequila base, fresh lime, and small-batch grapefruit sorbet. Not in the mood for a margarita? Try the tequila-based cocktail, Cerveza Paloma. Walnut St., downtown, (513) 721-6232, eatdrinknada.com
