Chef Nem Kitchen To-Go—the fast-casual concept from chef, entrepreneur, and eatery namesake Nemuel Bonner—takes familiar comfort soul food and dials it up a notch. Even though he’s only been in business for just four years, Bonner’s most notable dishes have already earned the restaurant a loyal following across the city.
Chef Nem gives you permission to indulge, from southern-style six-cheese mac and cheese to fried fish on Fridays and breakfast on Saturdays. The signature lemon garlic salmon fries are a play on loaded fries that balances crisp, seasoned potatoes with buttery salmon. It’s the dish that regularly sells out, and for good reason. It captures Bonner’s approach to flavor—bold and layered with richness. That same spirit shows up across the menu. The fried snapper arrives whole, deeply seasoned and fried to a satisfying crunch. The best-selling lamb chops are fall-off-the-bone tender, marinated in a secret sauce for hours before being pan-seared to precision. Guests often leave with the house-made Nemonade, a vibrant twist on the classic lemonade that comes in three flavors, gaining its own cult status and doubling as a refreshing finish to a hearty meal.
Chef Nem also offers a variety of rotating homemade sweet treats that include strawberry crunch cake and banana crème pudding.
While Cincinnati has no shortage of comfort food spots, Chef Nem stands out for its creativity and bravado.
