What’s pizza without others to share it with? We asked some notable locals to tell us about their go-to pizzas.

Steve Raleigh, meteorologist, WCPO

“LaRosa’s is our house go-to pizza. My wife grew up on it and my kids love it. I think it’s the best in town. After a long fight against Mother Nature, it’s always the pie that I bring home! You can’t do any better.”

Lynn Meyers, producing artistic director, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati

“I have to choose LaRosa’s, and not just because it was a huge treat for me as a kid to actually get pizza and LaRosa’s was right here on the west side. But I also choose it because they have been generous to local nonprofits and that means a lot to me to see their work in the community. I may be dull, but I am loyal!”

David and Lydia Jackman, Wildweed Pasta

“We love the way El Camino Pizza is creating better-tasting dough by milling their own flour. Everything we’ve eaten so far builds on what’s already happening in the city. As their concept gets closer, we can’t wait to eat more.”

Rico Grant, owner of Gallery at Gumbo and Cinema

“For me, it’s Taglio. Takes the cake. I do the Detroit-style hot honey and pepperoni. The dough is insane. It has the perfect crisp and gooeyness.”

Natalie Jones, on-air personality, Q102

“Goodfellas, for sure. Love me a by-the-slice pizza!”

DJ Prymtime, official deejay for the Bengals and FC Cincinnati

“Mikey’s Late Night Slice is my go-to. [I love] the Plain Ass Pepperoni.”

Nick Hagglund, defender, FC Cincinnati

“Catch-A-Fire’s Three Little Pigs pizza. It was our go-to pizza joint when we lived in Oakley after moving back. It was walking distance from our apartment. Today, if we mention pizza, our oldest daughter says it better be Catch-A-Fire!”

Jan-Michele Kearney, Cincinnati Vice Mayor

“Although my son chooses Dewey’s, his godparents choose Goodfellas (because they’re from New York), and my husband Eric chooses Fireside, but I was born and raised on LaRosa’s pepperoni pizza. There’s just nothing better, and I compare all pizza to my LaRosa’s standard. Add a house salad with French dressing, and you’ve got a slice of heaven!”
