Pendleton Wine Bar Featured in Food & Wine
Hart & Cru in Pendleton was listed among the top wine bars in the country in a recent Food & Wine article. The publication asked four industry professionals for their opinions on what makes a great wine bar and Hart & Cru was one of 16 places mentioned. “To be listed next to what I believe to be some of the world’s very best wine bars, spearheaded by some of the world’s very best sommeliers is, to say the least, an incredible honor,” says Kevin Hart, Hart & Cru’s founder.
The Chilichanga is Back
Northside Yacht Club’s chilichanga has returned! This monstrosity is comprised of a chili cheese coney (complete with mustard and onions) in a flour tortilla that’s layered with additional cheese and chili before being dropped in a deep frier. Get it with fresh-cut fries for $18 only through the month of February.
Third Eye Brewing and Fireside Pizza Launch Beer Collab
It’s National Pizza Day and you can celebrate with the launch of Third Eye Brewing Co.’s Pizza P-Eye, a collaboration with Fireside Pizza in Walnut Hills. The beer was crafted specifically to pair with pizza and customers who visit either location today will get the first dibs on the new brew. A portion of all Pizza P-Eye proceeds will go to the Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation.
Asianati Hosts Lunar New Year Celebration
Asianati will host a free Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, February 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Gatherall Food Hall in Norwood. The event will feature a lion dance performance by the River Lotus Lion Dancers and a dumpling making demonstration by Yee Mama.
Aglamesis Bros’ Valentine’s Day Social
Aglamesis Bros is hosting a Valentine’s Day social on Saturday, February 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oakley and Montgomery locations. The event will include crafting personalized Valentine’s Day cards, a timed sundae-making challenge, and sampling sweets.
Pata Roja Opens Next Week
Pata Roja Taqueria, the pop-up known for its tasty tacos al pastor, opens its brick-and-mortar spot on Court Street on Tuesday, February 13. “We couldn’t be more excited to open the doors at Pata Roja,” Owner Derrick Braziel says. “There’s a great deal of excitement and energy on Court Street and we’re thrilled that we have the opportunity to make our taqueria a part of it.” The taqueria will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fat-Washed Drinks Are Coming
Fat-Washed Tuesday at HomeMakers Bar and Fifty Fifty Gin Club takes place on Tuesday, February 13, starting at 6 p.m. The Mardi Gras-themed event features a menu of fat-washed cocktails, New Orleans style cuisine with Chef Kody Aswegan, and live music from Zoe and the Porktown Hustlers.
Pop-Up Book Shop and Dinner at Five On Vine
Five on Vine and Household Books are hosting another seasonal Plates & Pages wine dinner, this time in honor of Valentine’s Day. The five-course dinner, which takes place on Wednesday, February 14 at 6 p.m., features artisanal wine pairings from Terre Rouge and a curated collection of romantic and contemporary classics, vintage cookbooks, and rare editions.
