Trecento Opens Downtown
Upscale Italian trattoria Trecento opened at 300 Main Social House downtown last week. Guests who dined during the grand opening received a free pizza gift card for a future visit and the chance to win free pizza for a year, along with curated Italian pairings throughout the day. The menu highlights include handcrafted wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and salads with seasonal ingredients. We’ll be stopping by soon for the “Girl Lunch,” the combo of a Caesar salad, fries, and a handcrafted martini.
Try Dewey’s Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles Pizza
Thanks to its “Recipe Battle” employee contest, Dewey’s Pizza began serving up its Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffle pizza earlier this week. Available through August 4, the pie was created by Ryan Bade, a team member at the pizza chain’s Lakewood, Ohio, location. It’s made with pepper jack cheese, Nashville hot chicken, house-pickled jalapeños, olive oil, mozzarella, and waffle pieces.
Metropole Welcomes New Executive Chef
Last week, Metropole welcomed Corey Cova as its new executive chef. Cova, a Navy veteran and graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in New York, comes to the Queen City after working at a number of restaurants in New York and California, including Momofuku Ssam Bar and the acclaimed Morimoto, and his own eatery Porkchop Slims. “Chef Corey is reimagining the menu with seasonal dishes that are both familiar and unexpected, featuring flavors that celebrate the region he proudly calls home,” the restaurant said in an Instagram post. “Swing by to say hi and try his new summer dinner menu.”

The cost is $40 for a seat at the bar to $320 for a table of eight. (You can see the magazine’s trip to Miracle last December on our Instagram account!)

The Sharonville store will open next month while the other two stores—in West Chester Township and Florence, respectively—will open this winter. Specializing in frozen custard, Italian ice, and gelati, the Philadelphia-based chain has 595 stores across 30 states.
Brassica to Open First Tri-State Location This Winter
Brassica, the Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual eatery by Columbus-based Northstar Restaurant Group, is opening its first location in Symmes Township this winter. The restaurant—known for salads and sandwiches made with traditional Mediterranean flavors and locally sourced ingredients—will be in Harpers Station at 11315 Montgomery Road, its seventh location in Ohio since 2015.
The Night Kap Moves to College Hill
A Silverton-based soul food restaurant is moving to College Hill. The Night Kap, which began as a food truck in 2021, is opening at 5841 Hamilton Ave. later this year. “This is more than just opening another restaurant—it’s about creating a place where people feel at home,” said Owners Kirshane and Kyrah Ervin in a press release. “College Hill is thriving and we’re thrilled to be part of that momentum, serving our signature dishes and building connections in this incredible neighborhood.” The late-night joint offers items like lemon pepper wings, catfish, and candied yams, and plans to stay open until 1 a.m.
