Amador Cuban Restaurant and Bridgeview Food Hall Closing
Pesola Restaurant Group Revolution owner Nick Pesola announced this week that Amador Cuban Restaurant and Bridgeview Food Hall at Newport on the Levee will close soon. “Simply put, we cannot sustain business operations for these concepts due to challenges beyond our control, including the [Big Mac] bridge closure, which had a devastating financial impact on our Newport on the Levee locations,” he said in an Instagram post. The last day of service for both will be Sunday, January 19. The message also mentioned that the rebrand of Revolution Rotisserie in Pleasant Ridge would be scrapped. “As this chapter ends, we would like to reiterate our unwavering commitment and passion for the Milkman brand,” he continued. “No fear…Milkman will remain open, serving up the best juicy burgers and boozy shakes in town!”
2025 Beer Cheese Throwdown Recipes Needed
Harrison–based food manufacturer J.T.M. Food Group launched its annual Beer Cheese Throwdown contest this week and is seeking recipes from food service operators for “their best beer cheese menu creations.” The national contest began in 2022, challenging food service operators (restaurants, breweries, caterers, convenience stores, etc.) to create custom dishes using J.T.M.’s Beer Cheese Base, Craft Beer Cheese Dip, Voodoo Ranger Cajun Cream Sauce, or Cerveza Queso Mac & Cheese. Two finalists will receive all-expenses paid trips to the 2025 National Restaurant Association Show, where their creations will be featured at the J.T.M. booth. The deadline to submit recipes is January 31.
