In the spirit of the holidays, Cincinnati’s first distillery since prohibition has put together three festive cocktails to enjoy during the holidays (check out these ND drinks on our TikTok account!):
The Conversation Starter
1 oz. Northside Bourbon
1 oz. pecan liqueur
Cup of coffee

You Look Good in Red
1 oz. Northside Vodka
1 1/2 oz. cranberry juice
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1/2 oz. rosemary-infused simple syrup
Splash of champagne
Combine Northside Vodka, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and rosemary-infused syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice, then shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a mason jar and top with champagne. Finish it off with a garnish, a rosemary sprig speared with fresh cranberries. Pear-Cinnamon French 75
1 oz. Northside Gin
2 oz. pear juice
1/2 oz. lemon juice
Splash of champagne
Add Northside Gin, pear juice, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a coup glass or champagne flute, then top with champagne. Somerset Bar
Somerset Bar provides a holiday twist on classic cocktails with two drinks on its brand new winter menu:

Molotov Mule
1 1/2 oz. vodka
2 oz. House ginger beer, any can or bottle ginger beer will also work
1 oz. red wine float
Add all the ingredients together, serve in a tall glass over ice and garnish with a piece of candied ginger.
Sunset Boulevardier
2 oz. caramelized vanilla-orange barrel aged bourbon
3/4 oz. Campari
3/4 oz. sweet vermouth
*To make the bourbon, cut one orange in slices and caramelize in a pan along with one vanilla bean, sugar, and one tablespoon of oak chips. Combine all the ingredients together to one bottle of bourbon and let infuse for 10 days.
Serve on the rocks and garnish with a fresh orange twist.

H.Maker Cherry Hot Cocoa
1 1/2 oz. cherry hot cocoa
3/4 oz. heavy cream
1 1/2 oz. Voltage Peppermint Schnapps
2 1/2 oz. hot water
Tart cherry cocoa syrup ingredients:
1 cup tart cherry juice
1/4 tbsp. burdock
3/4 cup sugar in the raw
1/2 cup water
Add 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa while whipping rapidly till blended and smooth.
Dad’s Liquor Cabinet
1 1/2 oz. turmeric infused Dewar’s White Label
1 oz. red delicious apple infused Mattei Cap Corse Blanc
1/4 oz. Drambuie
*To make turmeric Dewar’s, roughly chop ¼ cup turmeric, infuse into whisky for 48 hours. Strain through a cheese cloth.
*To make apple Mattei, roughly chop three apples, discard core, and place in a glass jar with one bottle of Cap Corse Mattei Blanc, blue label. Place in the refrigerator and infuse for 24 hours.
