It’s finally warming up again this weekend so get out of the house and enjoy what the city has to offer.
It’s the return of the brewery’s beloved themed dinners with two different sessions to choose from. Session one from 5:45-7:45 p.m. will have a seafood-themed menu with wine and cocktail pairings while session two from 8-10 p.m. will be a Latin dinner with Latin-inspired cocktails. The night will feature Molly Wellmann as the special guest host and mixologist, ice bars, ice sculptures, igloos, fire pits, and fire performers. Tickets are $65. Comedian and star of In Living Color, White Chicks, and Scary Movie is bringing his “Wild Child Tour” to the Taft. Fresh off the success of his 2024 Amazon Prime comedy special Good Grief, Wayans will be performing a standup set with special guest DC Ervin. Tickets start at $48.50. If you want to get cold for a cause, the city’s largest Special Olympics fundraising event has you covered. Raise some money as an individual or a team, put on your wackiest outfit, and jump into the freezing water for a good cause and a chance to win some awards. Aquarius season is here and MadTree is inviting you to their Oakley Taproom to celebrate. For those who wish to observe the planets, Cincinnati Astronomical Society is bringing their telescopes to help view Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn. If you’d rather get more astrological than astronomical, professional astrologer Ed Kluska will be reading horoscopes and Moira Free will be doing tarot readings. It’s easy to feel powerless in times like these and that’s why the Poor People’s Army is teaming up with artist and organizer VIPeach for a community building and strengthening event. There will be speakers, live music, discussion groups, vendors, food (including vegan options), a group meditation, and presentations from local mutual aid groups about keeping people safe and building a cooperative economy and society. Greater Cincinnati Chinese Music Society is putting on their annual Lunar New Year concert to welcome the Year of the Snake. The performance blends traditional Chinese instruments with philharmonic music. Tsung Yeh, Singapore Chinese Orchestra Conductor Emeritus, will conduct. This one-day convention touts itself as THE place to be for collectors of comics, manga, figures, cards, and all things fandom. There will also be comic book artists, panels, cosplay contests, trivia, and more. A Sailor Moon concert at 5:30 p.m. with guest voice actress Jennifer Chi will close out the day.
