All month, celebrations of queer joy, the LGBTQ+ community, and universal acceptance have been ringing through the streets of Cincinnati. Even as Pride month comes to a close, there are several locations nestled throughout the area ready to continue the festivities all year long.
“Judy is that girl!” Enjoy all the best of queer culture at this hyper-pink, hyper-friendly Northside dive. Attend a themed musical party, cheer on a drag show, and watch weekly performances from LGBTQ+ entertainers while sipping on your favorite cocktail. Ever tried Absinthe? This Newport location is known for the concoction, sipped while surrounded by local art, jukebox music, and playing free pool offered Sunday through Tuesday. Having dubbed itself “Cincinnati’s hottest,” this gay-owned and operated bar sure knows how to throw a party. With different events for all groups–from drag shows, to movie nights or karaoke– there’s something for every interest. Step into The Birdcage to let loose and be yourself, they’d love to have you. Formerly the Below Zero Lounge, Bloom is the newest LGBTQ+ nightclub in Cincinnati. With weekly Drag performances and DJs, this lounge hopes to, once again, be a community cornerstone.
