Get ready to raise your glasses! It’s that time of year for the Cincinnati International Wine Festival. Join the weekend of fun on March 6–8, when the festival uncorks a new chapter by moving to a new venue: The Freestore Foodbank’s new Community Resource and Distribution Center. The event will feature the same traditions—including more than 800 wines from around the globe and a silent auction to raise even more funds for local organizations—in a space that’s just a short drive from downtown.
“Freestore Foodbank is honored to serve as the host site for this year’s celebration,” says Freestore Food Bank President and CEO Kurt Reiber. “When we were approached as a possible host site as the renovations to the Duke Energy Center began, we knew that this would be a great way to use our new Community Resource and Distribution Center to support our sister nonprofit organizations, while also showcasing the incredible mission of our team at Freestore Foodbank. We hope to see you all in March!”
Since it began, The Cincinnati International Wine Festival has raised $7 million for local nonprofits. This year’s festival will be the biggest and best yet, says Sarah Gagnon, the festival’s executive director. “We have worked over the past three decades to grow the event each year so we can help even more local nonprofits reach their goals of helping the community.”
