El Día De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a cherished Mexican holiday honoring the dead and celebrating the joys of life. From November 1 to 2, the festival is like a family reunion but with the spirits of deceased loved ones.

Traditionally, families build intricate altars, known as ofrendas, with items that hold significance for the departed like food, musical instruments, and cherished photographs. Visiting graves, offering gifts, and telling stories helps keep the memory of ancestors alive.

Although Cincinnati may be a little far from the colorful festivities in Mexico, we found a few local events and activities to honor this 3,000-year-old tradition in our community.
