Spring is right around the corner, which means that maple sugar season is upon us. Great Parks of Hamilton County shows visitors first-hand how tree sap turns into the delicious breakfast condiment we all know and love.
After you’ve watched how the syrup is made, you won’t be able to resist testing it on waffles, ice cream, and other treats served on site. Once everyone reaches peak sugar-high, take a nature hike through the sugarbush before checking out the craft stations.
February 27 & 28, 12 p.m.–5 p.m., $3 daily parking or annual Parks pass required, Farbach–Werner Nature Preserve, Ellenwood Nature Barn, 3455 Poole Rd, Groesbeck, (513) 385–4811, greatparks.org
