Once known simply for its subdivisions, Loveland’s been working overtime the past several years to freshen up its image; in 2018, homebuyers noticed and the community earned a spot on the Business Courier’s list of Greater Cincinnati’s Most Popular Neighborhoods. The bike trail and Little Miami River have always been big draws, but the newly revamped and very walkable downtown likely helped boost buyers’ interest, too. In fact, we wonder if downtown Loveland will give places like Blue Ash and even Oakley a run for their money, especially amongst the empty-nester set.

Those looking to downsize but not quite ready for quasi-urban living should check out this 2,500-square-foot ranch less than a mile from all the action; set on a heavily-wooded lot, the place’s most notable feature is the decking, which extends across the home’s back side and dips down a small flight of steps into a treed valley below. Inside, exposed brick, walls of windows, a spiral staircase and hardwood floors supply the loft-like feel buyers will find in town—in all, a great mix of city and country in this hot Cincinnati suburb.
