Silverton is perhaps best known for modest, older homes on quaint, tree-lined streets. But one of our favorite sections of this suburb is settled in its southwest corner, where Plainfield turns into Woodford Road and the Benken Home and Garden Center has lived quietly for years. Here, the streets are lined with larger, older houses on gracious lots. Now, it’s possible to find some new construction, too, thanks to a brand new cul-de-sac on Hedge Avenue.

The site was a vacant piece of property that had been privately owned for years, says this home’s listing agent Michael Jordan. It has since been divided into seven home sites, all of which include a 15-year property tax abatement. So far, two lots are sold and a third is sale pending, which leaves this and three other lots remaining.
