Celebrate Repeal Day at Metropole

It’s been more than eight decades since America’s prohibition on alcohol ended. All the more reason to celebrate!

On December 5, 1933, Congress came to its senses and ratified the 21st Amendment, repealing the 13-year prohibition of alcohol in America. Flash forward 82 years and you can party like it’s 1933 at 21c Museum Hotel’s Metropole. On Sunday, December 6, Metropole and Watershed Distillery will host Sunday Sipper: A Repeal Day Celebration, complete with tunes from the roaring ’20s and a burlesque dance show from Ginger LeSnapps. Be honest, you’ve always wanted to partake in some speakeasy-style cocktails while while rocking tweed pants or a flapper dress. Just this once, your ironic handelbar mustache won’t look so silly.
