Well this is a bummer: Myra’s Dionysus, the Clifton institution that has served up fresh, veggie-friendly fare to hungry UC students since the 1970s, will close its doors on August 30.
Myra’s is a classic college town spot: modest, dark, and homey, with walls and shelves covered in show posters, apartment rental ads, and knick knacks. And it’s always been a haven for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone who doesn’t feel like eating takeout pizza again. We love the menu of healthy salads, sandwiches, and 30+ soups, a half-a-dozen of which are on offer any given day. And most importantly, it’s cheap: A cup of perfect Avgolemono soup—a brothy mixture of chicken and lemon thickened with egg—will set you back just $2.
Stop by Myra’s while you still can.
