Since we talked to founders Logan Moore and Paige Braley last February, Date Cincy has been hosting events all around the city for people to meet and connect IRL (in real life). One thing they saw at those events they didn’t expect were all the platonic connections being formed—in addition to the romantic ones.
“We underestimated the power of the community that would form [through Date Cincy],” says Braley. “All of these people, no matter how different they are, have one shared similarity—they want to meet people authentically.”
While friendships and friend groups have been formed thanks to their events, the focus is romance. The pair says they’ve had countless people tell them they found their person at a Date Cincy event.
“We had a guy reach out to us [this past month] who said he met his girlfriend at our January event last year, and now they’re talking about their future together,” says Moore.
Feeling inspired to put yourself out there? Date Cincy has tons of opportunities coming up to do just that. While the Valentine’s Day event is sold out, some upcoming events include:
- The first ever Single Parents’ Night Out on February 21
- Mardi Gras Masquerade Mixer on March 1
- Shamrock Singles Mixer on March 14

Another 40+ event is coming in April, the first LGBTQ+ event in June, and more. You can find information and tickets to Cincy Date events on Instagram.
For those looking for love this season, Moore and Braley urge you to be yourself and take the pressure off.
“When people are frustrated [with being single], they just stay home. That isolation can be such a lie,” says Braley. “Whether it’s coming to a Date Cincy event or just taking yourself out, celebrate where you are now and learn to spend time with and love yourself.”
To them, loving yourself is the key to finding your person.
“Shift your mindset and see being single as a gift. You can do whatever you want to do and embrace yourself,” says Moore. “The person you’re supposed to be with will come at the right time, when you’re happy.”
Interested in getting involved? Date Cincy is always accepting volunteers to work their events and looking for local businesses to partner with. Find more information at @datecincy on Instagram.
