Seven Events for a Dazzling Fourth of July

If you’re looking to celebrate American independence with parades, music, food, and fireworks, look no further than Cincinnati’s Fourth of July events. These experiences are sure to be exploding with excitement, so put on your red, white, and blue and enjoy the Fourth of July with these events.

Coney Island Balloon Glow 

Head to Coney Island for a gorgeous display of both hot air balloons and fireworks! Food will be available throughout the day while live music plays in the background in the evening. At 8 pm, hot air balloons will float tethered above Coney Island’s Lake Como for everyone to see. Afterward, there will be a fireworks finale for viewers to enjoy.

Red, Rhythm and Boom 

Mason City Council’s Red, Rhythm and Boom features the multi-platinum rock band Gin Blossoms and an opening performance from Lit this year. Festivities will include fun kids’ activities like a putt-putt course, slides, bounce houses, and more. Food trucks will serve delicious food throughout the day, and you can rock out to live music all night long. Finally, make sure to enjoy the amazing fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Red, White & KaBOOM

This two-part event is a can’t-miss Fourth of July experience! Festivities start in Village Green Park with a showing of Captain America: The First Avenger and delicious food trucks. Then, head to Harbin Park for more delicious food, live music performed by The Sly Band, and fireworks at 10 pm. Join in the festivities at both locations or stop in at one for Fourth of July fun.

Northside Fourth of July Parade 

If you’re searching for a fun, unique way to celebrate Independence Day this year, the Northside Fourth of July Parade is the event for you. This event is over 150 years old, and it brings together around 100 groups that march, dance, and perform. From costumed dancers to cool cars, this unforgettable parade has something for everyone. Don’t miss the party at the end of the parade!

57th Annual Independence Day Fireworks

This classic Fourth of July celebration is perfect for the whole family. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., families can enjoy kids’ activities including the annual children’s parade and contest. Afterward, you can enjoy exciting evening festivities including live music, delicious food, and of course, fireworks.

BB Riverboats’ Independence Day Cruise 

If you’re ready to take your Fourth of July picnic to the next level, why not try an Independence Day Cruise? Your ticket gets you a delicious dinner buffet aboard a riverboat with fantastic views on the Ohio River. The vessel will cruise to Coney Island’s Balloon Glow to view the gorgeous hot air balloons and fireworks.

July 4, 5:30–11:30 pm, 101 Riverboat Row, Newport 

Red, White & Boom!

The Cincinnati Pops will take the stage at Riverbend Music Center to perform classic American songs that celebrate freedom and independence. There will be a fireworks display after the concert to finish off this patriotic and musical event.
