Fiona’s Birthday at Rookwood Pottery

Rookwood is celebrating Cincinnati’s favorite princess with an all-day in-store event this Saturday. Guests can enjoy hippo-related workshops, giveaways, special promotions, artist signings, and more as the prestigious pottery company unveils this year’s new Fiona-themed piece. The first 25 guests in the door get a free $25 Rookwood gift card.

Great Parks: Winter Hike Series

In the next iteration of the Winter Hikes series, Great Parks will be traversing the Woodland Mound this Saturday. Hikers who make it to the end get a bowl of soup for their troubles. Those who complete all five hikes across the month of January get a special button.

Burnet Woods Nature Encounters Series

For another winter-themed nature event, head over to Burnet Woods for the return of Cincinnati Parks’ free nature series, no registration required. This Saturday’s event, the third, is “Tea Time and a Stroll,” where guests will take a brisk walk around Burnet Woods, then enjoy a cup of tea while discussing local edibles (no, not that kind) found in the wild.

Madcap Puppets: Wizard of Oz

Ever seen a puppet show of the Wizard of Oz? Didn’t think so. Follow the yellow brick road to Memorial Hall, where this family-friendly event offers a fresh spin on a classic story. Attendance is free for all ages, but RSVP’ing is required.
