We’ve got plenty more holiday events for you in this edition of Weekend Picks. See your favorite Christmas songs reimagined, do some holiday shopping, witness Santa rappel at Fountain Square, see a drag show, and enjoy some bacon and beer this weekend in the Queen City.

Jingle Jazz with the CCJO

The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra returns with their annual Jingle Jazz concert. Swing remixes of your favorite Christmas songs—with many arrangements written by the orchestra members themselves—join vocalist Mandy Gaines for what’s sure to be a swinging good time.
7 p.m., Thursday, 3781 Linwood Ave., Mt. Lookout

Grainworks Bacon & Beer

I mean, it’s all in the name, right? Combinations on hand include Spicy BBQ Grippos Bacon with their My Blue Heaven beer, Everything Seasoning Pink Himalayan Salt Bacon with Helles Real, Maple Bourbon Bacon with Rusty Bumper, and more. But do you really need to know what’s on the menu to go eat bacon and drink beer?
4:30 p.m., Sunday, Third Eye Brewing, 11276 Chester Rd., Sharonville

City Flea December

This weekend’s City Flea is back in Washington Park. Over fifty vendors will be selling books, clothing, art, and every other gift category you can think of. Get in your last minute holiday shopping while you can!
3 – 8 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, 1230 Elm St, Over-the-Rhine

Cynthia Doll at The Birdcage

Fans of drag shows need to strut over to The Birdcage on Friday night for what’s sure to be an unforgettable serve. Cynthia Doll from Season 5 of Boulet Brothers Dragula (if you’ve never seen it, think Drag Race if it was punk and trashy—we mean this as a compliment) will be performing in Cincinnati, alongside other Cincy-famous queens like Stixen Stones and Kiara Chimera.
8 p.m., Friday, 412 Central Ave, downtown

Downtown Dazzle presented by United Dairy Farmers

It’s the last weekend to see Santa Claus rappelling down to Fountain Square from the top of a building. Downtown Dazzle is always a spectacle every year, with all the fireworks and general shock of a Santa-suited man jumping from a building, and it’s totally free. Don’t forget that the UC Health ice rink is open the whole evening, too.
Saturday, 6 p.m., Fountain Square, 520 Vine St., downtown

United Dairy Farmers Santa’s Workshop

Just two weeks left to get a free picture with Santa at Washington Park! Save the trip (and money) to go to Kenwood, and head to OTR for free.
11 a.m.–2 p.m., Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine
