On September 25, Cincinnati Magazine’s Showcase of Homes kicked off its three-week run. The immersive experience presents five custom homes, crafted by some of the region’s best builders. These high-end properties display the crème de la crème of luxury finishes and trending design details, plus an enviable location that boasts stunning lake and golf course views.
Situated within the Triple Crown Country Club’s Affirmed neighborhood (named in honor of the 1979 Triple Crown winner), home values range from $1.3 million to $2.5 million. It’s Northern Kentucky’s premier high-end, multi-home show, with tours running through October 12. Tickets can be purchased online.

House 1: The Winslow
Walking along Affirmed Avenue, the first stop of the tour is The Winslow. Its front landscaping is a showstopper, with a waterfall feature that pools into a small pond. Designed by Fischer Homes, the modern prairie design features an attractive, mixed use of brick and stone. Large windows, clad in dark trim, provide gorgeous natural light in the main living areas. The interior is accessible and airy, thanks to the high ceilings and open concept.
With more than 5,300 square feet of living space, there’s plenty of room for customization—like utilizing the formal dining room for a home office or playroom if the extra eating space isn’t needed. Bedrooms are generously sized, while the primary suite is extra lush. The home gym feels like a high-end yoga studio, with relaxing murals and large mirrors to monitor one’s form. Outside, a fireplace on the covered deck allows for year-round relaxation.
House 2: The Edenbrooke
If a modern farmhouse design is what you seek, look no further than The Edenbrooke, built by Our Farmer House. Its crisp black and white exterior is a mix of board and batten siding paired with white stone. Inside, the interior embraces a rustic, European aesthetic. Classic textures, like hardwood floors and exposed beams, balance the open concept living space and soaring vaulted ceilings. There’s a lovely flow from the front doors, through the great room, and out to the back porch. The sleek black-grid French doors slide open for a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces during large get-togethers or al fresco dining.
Though elegant in its finishes and soft palette, the sizable kitchen can handle large groups with ease. There’s even a hidden walk-in pantry that makes prep and clean up a breeze. Though concealed, it doesn’t skimp on design—look up to appreciate the wallpapered ceiling. Floor-to-ceiling storage and classic checkerboard floor round out the hardworking space. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home can handle any family configuration. An open loft with bunk room provides additional sleeping space for guests.
House 3: The Bedford
With its green painted brick and earth tone accents, The Bedford by Drees Homes is eye-catching yet elegant, offering a classic elevation reimagined in a refreshing color palette. Inside, the 5,700-square-foot layout includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It’s filled with thoughtful design details, like a fluted range cover in the sleek kitchen, nearby wine room with glass walls and built-in banquette, and stylish wallpaper selections throughout.
The primary suite hums with tranquility, its unbeatable lake views setting the tone for each day. There’s balcony access off the primary as well, providing a quiet place for coffee or unwinding in the evenings. The lower level shines with its amenities. A golf simulator provides entertainment rain or shine, while the rest of the large area can accommodate gatherings of any size. The kitchenette mirrors the same wood cabinetry and dark countertops from the kitchen. Paired with the soft, sage green walls, it’s a soothing space where you’re happy to sit for a while.

House 4: The Fairway Views
Offering a taste of French country, the Fairway Views by Gustin Construction shines with graceful curb appeal. White painted brick features a touch of contrast from lovely light blue shutters, while two stone arches decorate the entry. Their texture gives a warm sense of old-world, European charm. Inside, the floorplan follows an open concept, with nearly 6,000 square feet of living space. The great room is bathed in natural light from a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows. It shines on thoughtful details—like the expansive coffered ceiling or the copper range hood in the adjoining kitchen—that elevate the overall feel of the space.
Each of the five bedrooms includes an en-suite bathroom, plus generous closet space. The home’s layout celebrates the incredible views and sticks to a neutral color palette with classic finishes. This effect complements the surroundings, rather than providing visual competition, and creates a more immersive connection to the outdoors. There’s versatility in the spaces, with a playroom and home gym. Off the covered porch, the backyard is large enough to accommodate a future pool.
House 5: The Sovereignty
Built by Cutter Custom Homes, the tour’s final home is perched on one of the largest lots in the development, clocking in at more than an acre. It backs up to the green, while also overlooking the lake, for a true sense of the best of both worlds. The Sovereignty’s exterior leans rustic, with its blend of board and batten siding, rugged stone, and cedar gable brackets. It’s a winning combination for creating warm curb appeal. Just shy of 6,000 square feet, the home is perfectly suited for larger families. Generous accommodations include five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, and a five-car garage.
Attention to detail is paramount throughout. The great room is a showstopper, with soaring, 20-foot ceilings and a stone fireplace that’s flanked by backlit built-ins. It opens out to the covered, screened-in porch. With another fireplace and TV, it feels like a smooth extension of the interior, but with a closer look at the phenomenal views. Downstairs, entertaining’s a breeze with a full kitchen, large media room, and plentiful storage. The home is prepped for an elevator, should the owner want to install one in the future.
