Cheviot’s annual kickoff to fall returns with a parade, live music, games, food, rides, craft exhibitions, 4-H demonstrations, and much more. This year will feature the inaugural Horse Expo with rider competitions, classes, interactive activities, games for the animals to play, and pettable therapy horses. Braxton Brewing is transforming Mainstrasse into a bierhall for a weekend-long Oktoberfest celebration complete with German food, polka music, local bands, family activities, wine and bourbon tastings, and lots of German beer. Each day will also feature competitions like steinhoisting, a sausage toss, relay races, and a costume contest for dogs. Plus, there’ll be a tailgate on Sunday for the Bengals’ season opener. Horror fans will have the chance to meet some icons of the genre like Robert Englund, Malcolm McDowell, Heather Langenkamp, the Dead Meat crew, and many more at this autumn’s HorrorHound. Attendees will also get to enjoy panels with stars from your favorite films, a massive horror-themed vendor hall, indie film screenings, tattoos, cosplay contests, and a prosthetic mask showcase. It’s time for Cincinnati Pride’s annual takeover of Kings Island complete with one of the biggest and best drag shows of the year. Tickets are $48 and include park admission and live entertainment. Honor Hispanic Heritage Month with FC Cincinnati starting at Prematch in the Park where there will be live cultural performances by La Dama del Pueblo and Cincy Brazil Samba Dance, a sugar skull coloring station, family activities, food from Pata Roja and Jenn’s Hot Tamales, informational booths from local Hispanic organizers, and more. Baker Hunt Twilight Party: Summer of Love
Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center is hosting a night of art, music, food, games, and all things groovy to raise money for art accessibility. The Tony-winner and Broadway legend Lea Salonga is joining Cincinnati Pops for an evening of song and storytelling.
