Not everyone has a date for this Valentine’s weekend, but whether single or partnered, you’ll be able to enjoy yourself at one of the many events around town.


Krohn Conservatory Botany and Brews

Explore the Krohn’s spring show, “Emerge,” while enjoying drinks from Esoteric Brewing. Conservatory horticulturalists will show you around the exhibit’s greenery and introduce you to the animals of “Emerge,” Beatrix the hare and Roberta the tortoise. Meanwhile, brew masters from Esoteric will talk you though their craft. Tickets are $15 and include one drink ticket. Unhinged Speed Dating

Stand-up comedians Hillary Boston and June Dempsey will be leading prospective romantics on a comedic Valentine’s Day journey involving piñatas, crafts, balloon animals, and other activities to break you out of your shell. Northside Yacht Club CornDogs 4 HornDogs

At the fourth annual CornDogs for HornDogs Valentine’s Day event, the yearly celebration of battered sausage will combine with the beloved Claw Night. Every drink purchased comes with a claw machine token you can use once an hour to try and retrieve prizes. At CD4HD, Disco Tits Vintage will provide special giveaways including gift cards, bags with toys, and the grand prize—a vintage Garfield phone. Doggie Bake Sale at MadTree

Red Dog Pet Resort is hosting the fifth annual Doggie Bake Sale at MadTree’s Beer Garden. Plenty of puppy treats from places like Three Dog Bakery, The Pawstry Chef, and PetCakes will be sold with all proceeds going to Proud Pups Rescue. Houseplant Matchmaker at Lloyd Library

Brandie Atkins, owner of Plant Therapy by Brandie, is going to help you find your perfect houseplant. All workshop attendees will get matched with a six-inch plant to take home in a pot of their choice while learning professional tips and tricks to keep it blooming and thriving. Rhinegeist is for Lovers

It’s an emo celebration of Valentine’s Day at Rhinegeist with hours of angsty music played by The Taste of Emo and DJ David. Tickets are $25 and include one beer, wine, or cocktail. Food will be available for purchase form Empanada’s Box and Link x Lou will have a special permanent jewelry pop-up. Findlay Market Sweet & Savory Stroll

One of Findlay Market’s most iconic tasting events is back with live music, crafts, a raffle, and more. 40 market vendors will be participating in the stroll offering samples like raspberry hot chocolate from Maverick Chocolate, French onion grilled cheese from Harmony Plant Fare, caramel sea salt fudge from Gibbs Cheese, and beef bourguignon from Eckerlin Meats. Pin + Sip Butterfly Pinning Class

The crafty and the macabre will want to come out to Urban Artifact for this insect pinning class led by Victoria Lewandowski of Eve’s Hallow. She’ll guide you through the process of mounting butterflies and by the end, you’ll have beautiful piece to take home. Tickets are $60 individually, $110 for two, and include all pinning supplies and two glasses of Fruitblood wine or cider.
